This place is great and not something you'd expect in such a small town! I started drinking coffee simply because I wanted to get to know their friendly staff more and quickly found out that their coffee is almost as great as the staff!
Their drinks are great, and they rotate through different beans grown around the world which is pretty cool. If you are there for food, the biscuits and gravy are INCREDIBLE. The best I've ever had!
On Friday's they have authentic Hawaii lunches which I usually can never finish because they are so filling. I regularly go out of my way to get Shaka Shack. -

I found myself with a steaming cup of freshly brewed coffee, I believe it was the Ethiopian version? I can't seem to recall which one it was. I seriously catch myself thinking about it when I am back home here in Cincinnati. It was smooth, and not too acidic which is exactly how I like my coffee. I'll even admit that once I arrived back home from my work trip to this area, I found my cold cup of coffee in the morning on my way back to return my rental car and I drank every bit of cold coffee and it was still the bomb! The owner is passionate about coffee, business, and his faith. All three of these things I find inspiring. I'm pretty sure that the love thrown into this place is what makes the coffee just that much more awesome. Great job! I'll be stopping back through on my next time in the area, that's for sure.

This gem in the heart of downtown Monroe has a fun, friendly, Hawaiian themed atmosphere. Stop in for a hot or cold drink and treat yourself to some fantastic biscuits and gravy or if you're lucky enough to be there when lunch is available...the teriyaki chicken is awesome too!
